A Pool Manager position is a perfect summer job for college students and allows you to work with friends in a fun atmosphere. We have Pool Manager jobs in several locations in and around North Georgia, including Gwinnett, Barrow, Cherokee, Hall, Forsyth, Jackson, Rockdale, Lawrenceville, Suwannee, Tucker, Snellville, Dacula, Buford, Cumming, Gainesville, Loganville, Johns Creek, Norcross, and Conyers.

Pool Manager Job Description

The Pool Manager is in charge of all activities at that location, including staffing and scheduling. He or she reports directly to the Swimming Pool Supervisor. Pool Manager positions are a popular summer job for college students. Most Pool Managers have lifeguarding experience and are now looking for a new challenging with more responsibility. At times, the Pool Manager will also be a Lifeguard. He or she must be energetic, motivated, with strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills. All lifeguards and Pool Managers must be Certified Red Cross Lifeguard, and Certified CPR/First Aid.

The Pool Manager will oversee the safe and proper operation of the entire aquatics facility, including:

  • Supervise all assigned pool staff
  • Manage correct chemical levels
  • Maintain appropriate swimming pool records
  • Create and maintain lifeguard schedules
  • Oversee cleaning and general swimming pool maintenance
  • Coordinate pool parties
  • Maintain customer relations with swimming pool patrons
  • Ensure that all pump, filter and other pool equipment is operating

Pool Manager And Lifeguards Mission

A key part of any Pool Manager and lifeguard s mission is the prevention of accidents. Therefore, one of the most useful measures of the effectiveness of a lifeguard force is not the number of rescues, or the skill with which they are executed, but the absence or reduction of drowning, accidents, and other medical emergencies. While the ability to save lives is of paramount importance to lifeguarding, the ability to prevent life-threatening situations is equally as important.
